HEAD Graphene Touch Radical Racquets

by TN

The specs are out for the HEAD Graphene Touch Radical line of racquets, including the HEAD Grapene Touch Radical Pro, MP and S.

I previously wrote about the HEAD Graphene Touch Radical racquets here and reviewed the HEAD Graphene Touch Extreme MP here and I have mentioned that I’ve been slightly underwhelmed by the whole Graphene series of racquets (Graphene, Graphene XT and Graphene Touch) therefore it will be interesting to see whether the Radical series offer something new.

Most HEAD racquet purists thinks HEAD ceased to produce good racquets after the IG series and then there seems to be a fanbase for the HEAD Graphene Radical Pro that despite its stiffness offered a nice, crisp feel and good playability.

The new HEAD Graphene Touch series is similar to Wilson’s Countervail racquets all about dampening, an effort I support when it comes to saving people’s elbows and wrists, but not when it comes to “feel”. When a racquet becomes too dampened it is difficult to know exactly where the ball is going and there is a lack of connection between you and the ball hitting the string bed. This is of course personal in a way, but I would say that neither of these dampening technologies have managed to wow the customers.

Will the new HEAD Graphene Touch Radical series be different? These are the specs for the HEAD Graphene Touch Radical Pro, MP and S:

I recently purchased two of the HEAD Graphene Touch Radical MPs, and they suit me down to the ground. They are by far my favorite racquet on the market right now out of all the models I play tested. I find they sit perfectly in between the power of say a babolat pure aero and the control offered by a wilson pro staff. The best of both worlds.
