The Rafa Nadal Sports Centre in Manacor, Nadalโs hometown, is the most well-known place for playing tennis on the island. It features 19 outdoor hard courts, 7 outdoor clay courts and 1 indoor hard court, all ITF-approved and spread across a huge complex.
The adjacent Rafa Nadal Academy offers professional coaching for all ages, with programs ranging from daily lessons to week-long camps, some even include training with academy pros. Tournaments like ITF juniors and seniors events happen regularly, and the on-site museum with Nadalโs trophies is always popular.
The hotel itself has 37 modern rooms (doubles and suites), a semi-Olympic indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a spa and a fitness center. Itโs about 50 km from Palma, ideal for serious players who donโt mind a quieter location.

La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel โ Deiร
Located in the nice village of Deiร , on Mallorcaโs northwest coast, La Residencia is a proper luxury retreat with a strong tennis offering. It has 2 outdoor courts, with Tramuntana Mountain views. A resident coach provides private lessons, and while thereโs no tournament scene here, the courts are perfect for a casual session. The hotel, housed in 16th-century manor houses, offers 67 unique rooms, plus two outdoor pools, an award-winning spa as well as the acclaimed El Olivo restaurant. This is the spot for upscale relaxation with tennis as a bonus.
Robinson Cala Serena
On Mallorcaโs southeast coast, Robinson Cala Serena (image at the top) is somewhat of a paradise for sports fans. They offer many outdoor clay courts, all well-maintained and part of the resortโs facilities. Guests can join group lessons, book private coaching or just play casually among friends.
The resort also hosts friendly tournaments from time to time. Set between two bays, it offers 306 rooms (many with sea views), four outdoor pools, a spa and direct beach access. Overall, a price-worthy pick for tennis fans and not that far from the airport.
Zafiro Palace Palmanova โ Palmanova
For a central, family-friendly option, Zafiro Palace Palmanova might be a good option. They don’t have on-site courts just outside your window, however they partner with the nearby Magaluf Sports Centre, just 1 km away, which offers 6 outdoor clay courts. There’s also the Santa Ponsa tennis club nearby (5km) with 8 clay courts and the hotel can arrange transfers as well as bookings and lessons. With 240 stylish rooms and suites, 10 pools (including adults-only options), a spa and plenty of restaurants, itโs well suited for a lot of travellers.
Hotel Es Port โ Port de Sรณller
Sรณller is a town with great traditions when it comes to tennis and in the middle of it you find Hotel Es Port. It features 3 outdoor courts, one hard-court and two clay courts, available to guests with optional private lessons from local coaches. No formal tournaments here, but the courts are are very popular among casual players enjoying the massive estate. The 148 rooms mix rustic stonework with various modern comforts, and thereโs an indoor pool, outdoor pool, spa and restaurants serving local cuisine. Located close to the sea and only aout 35 km from Palma, itโs ideal for a relaxed tennis vacation.
Mallorcaโs tennis scene offers a nice mix. The Nadal Academy has put the island on the map, training juniors who compete globally, while clubs like Mallorca Country Club (with grass, clay and hard courts) is one of the most complete tennis clubs we’ve experienced. The Mediterranean climate is of course perfect for a tennis holiday and there are plenty of good tennis hotels on Mallorca.
