Pro Player Racquet Updates

by TN

I have recently published two video about pro player racquet updates. Since the season has just started, there will be more of these.

You can watch the two videos of pro player racquet updates below, but I will also list the most important stuff. I would be very happy if you subscribed to my YouTube channel.

Pro Player Racquet Updates

I previously wrote about Gael Monfils moving over to Artengo racquets and gear. I have also mentioned Denis Shapovalov’s switch to the Ezone 98 and Murray’s move to a bigger head size.

Christian Garin has ditched his HEAD Radical pro stock and moved over to some kind of Wilson Blade. What it is, is too early to tell. On pics, it looks like a Wilson H22 pro stock again. Which can be purchased as a Wilson Blade Pro via Wilson Pro Labs. As you rightfully pointed out, Garin is now wearing Emporio Armani and Nike shoes instead of Adidas.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has had elbow issues and is now returning to the court after surgery. He is now trying a new string setup instead of his ultra-stiff and controlled Luxilon 4G at 24 kg in his Blade pro stock. From the looks of it, he is testing Luxilon Alu Power mains and Natural Gut crosses. This is a more comfortable setup, but judging by the so-so results at the Davis Cup, we will see if he stays with it.

On the apparel side, Matteo Berrettini announced that he has moved over to Hugo Boss. Or simply “Boss” as they refer to themselves these days. According to his post, he has been a part of designing their new tennis collection. Berrettini is now with Asics Gel Resolution 8 shoes instead of his Lotto.

Boom goes the racquet

Coco Gauff, is now endorsing the Boom MP. But as you can see from the head shape – this is not the Morph beam of the Boom, but rather her old Speed Pro.

Talking about the Boom, Alex Bolt is using the MP, but lost his first match in Adelaide.

I don’t know what is going on with Musetti, whether he will endorse or use the Boom, or stay with the Extreme Tour.

Thanasi Kokkinakis, the talented Aussie that has suffered heavily from injuries during his entire career looks to be in great physical form and started his year with a win against countryman Millman. He is carrying a Babolat bag but is using what looks like a blacked-out Yonex 98 with a hybrid string setup.

Marton Fucsovics is now with Hydrogen and Thiago Monteiro has switched to a Pro Staff. Is it a Pro Staff though or something else? This is the issue with the pros, it’s hard to say unless you get confirmation from a stringer or a team member. It looks like he is using Luxilon 4G though.

That’s about it for now. Thanks to all of you who write to me about these updates on Instagram.

I usually see or hear about them, but if I miss it, I appreciate you letting me now.

Garin plays Blade mold not H22. If You look on throat and head connection on this photo your will understand.
