There’s been quite some changes announced for the ATP Tour schedule of the 2025 season with “enhancements of top-tier events” and other major changes.
We will see a total of 60 tournaments across 29 different countries with some Masters 1000 events getting bigger.
Expansion for Canada and Cincinnati
One of the major news is the expansion of the Canada and Cincinnati Masters 1000 events to 12-day tournaments. This is the same expansion Madrid, Rome and Shanghai had during last season. Only Monte Carlo and Paris now remain as single week Masters events from next year.
“Next season will see yet more enhancements to the ATP Tour’s premium product across a streamlined calendar,” commented ATP chairman Andrea Gaudenzi and continued:
“Last season we broke new ground, welcoming a record five million fans on site across our events. This is just one indication of how positively the sport is trending, and we believe there’s incredible potential to still be unlocked.”
Other Changes
The ATP250 Cordoba Open event will be relocated to Mallorca and we will see these reschedulings:
- Hamburg Open (ATP 500) to be played in May instead of July.
- Los Cabos (ATP 250) will be moved from February to July.
