Aleksandar Vukic is currently on a five-match losing streak. His last victory came in January, when he defeated Borg, who is ranked outside the top 400. The Australian’s season has been underwhelming so far, and he has never made it past the opening round in Miami. Last year, Vukic was knocked out by Carballes Baena in the first round.
David Goffin has lost three of his last five matches. In Cap Cana last week, he was eliminated in the first round by Altmaier. Goffin has had success in Miami, making it to the semifinals in 2016, which remains his best result in the tournament.
Best Bet to Make
Although the bookmakers consider this a 50-50 matchup, we believe Goffin has the upper hand. He has put together several solid performances in recent weeks and has more experience than Vukic. In contrast, Vukic’s current form, marked by a five-match losing streak, is concerning. We expect Goffin’s experience to play a key role in this encounter.

Alexander Bublik has won four of his last five matches. He reached the final in Phoenix last week but lost to Fonseca. Bublik made it to the quarterfinals in Miami in 2021. However, last season, he was knocked out in the second round by Arnaldi.
Sebastian Baez has won three of his last five matches. His most recent loss came in Indian Wells, where he was defeated by Gigante in the opening round. This will be his fourth time competing in Miami, though he has never advanced past the second round.
Best Bet to Make
The bookmakers have Bublik as the favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Baez is a clay-court specialist and has struggled to find success on hard courts. Bublik, who played well in Phoenix, will enter this match with confidence. We expect him to come out on top.
That being said, Bublik winning is a value bet.

Gael Monfils has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Indian Wells, Monfils was defeated by Dimitrov in the third round after a tight three-set match. The Frenchman lost to Alcaraz in the third round of Miami last season and has never progressed past the quarterfinals at the tournament.
Fabian Marozsan has also lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Indian Wells, he retired mid-match in the second round against Mpetshi Perricard. This will be his second appearance in Miami, where he reached the quarterfinals in his debut last year, losing to Zverev.
Best Bet to Make
Monfils is the slight favorite for this matchup, and we share that assessment. This season, Monfils has been playing some of his best tennis, including a title early in the year, and has shown consistent form throughout. His experience will likely be a decisive factor in this matchup.
That being said, Monfils winning is a value bet.
