Jaume Munar is a Spanish player with a career high rank of 52, but what is Munar’s racquet and gear?

Jaume Munar’s racquet

Jaume Munar’s racquet is a Yonex Ezone 100. It is likely an older model since he has used this frame for a long time. He has taken a page out of Casper Ruud‘s book when it comes to strings, as he is also using a hybrid of Yonex Polytour Spin in the mains and Polytour Pro in the crosses.

The Ezone 100 is more popular on the WTA Tour, while the Ezone 98 is more common on the ATP Tour. But there are exceptions, of course, like Casper and Jaume for the Ezone 100 and Madison Keys for the Ezone 98.

Bio and Career

Jaume Munar, born Jaume Antoni Munar Clar on May 5th, 1997, in Santanyi, Mallorca, Spain. He began playing tennis at the age of 8.

Munarโ€™s professional journey started in 2015 with his first ATP win at the German Open, where Guillermo Garcรญa-Lรณpez retired after three games, getting him into the Top 500. His junior career was also impressive, including a run to the 2014 French Open Boys Final (losing to Andrey Rublev) and a Junior Davis Cup title in 2013. On the pro tour, he claimed his first Challenger title in 2017 at Segovia and has since claimed nine Challenger singles titles, the most recent one in Perugia in 2024.

Munar is known for his play on clay courts but in 2025 he’s shown he can master other surfaces as well. He reached the semifinals in Hong Kong and Dallas on hard courts, his first similar achievements on the surface, pushing his record to 10-5 for the year. Notable wins include a comeback victory over Lorenzo Musetti in Hong Kong and a tough three-set battle against Kei Nishikori at Indian Wells, where he fell just short.

The Spaniard has no ATP titles yet but has 97 career wins against 139 losses as of early 2025. He has a career-high singles ranking of world no 52 (May 2019) and a doubles ranking of no 134 (February 2025).

Currently training at Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca, Munar hopes to get into the top 50 this season.
