Federico Cinร , another young, talented Italian player that got his first ATP Tour win at the Miami Open, but what is Federico Cina’s racquet and gear?

Federico Cina’s tennis racquet

Federico Cina’s racquet is close to what it looks like, a Wilson Blade 98 V9 16/19, which he strings with Luxilon 4G. However, it is likely an older model (could be V8), and it has an 18/19 string pattern. Similar to players like Sebastian Korda, Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.

We don’t know the exact specifications of Cina’s tennis racquet, but we have tried the Wilson Blade 98 18/19 pro stock on our YouTube channel. This racquet is only available for pros, but we managed to get a hold of one through contacts in the racquet industry.

Bio and Career

Federico Cinร  was born on March 30th, 2007, in Palermo, Italy. He began playing tennis at the age of 3 with his dad.

Cinร โ€™s tennis journey began in junior tennis, where he peaked at no 4 in the ITF rankings in 2024. His main junior results include a 2023 US Open boys singles semifinal run (losing to eventual champion Joรฃo Fonseca) and a 2024 French Open boys doubles final alongside Rei Sakamoto. Turning pro, he got his first ITF title in 2024 at Monastir, Tunisia, and made more of a name for himself in 2025 by reaching his first ATP Challenger final in Hersonissos, Greece, defeating former top 15 player Aslan Karatsev 6-4, 6-2. That nine-match winning streak marked him as the first player born in 2007 to reach a Challenger final.

His breakthrough came at the 2025 Miami Open, where, as a wildcard, he claimed his maiden ATP match win over Francisco Comesana in a great 7-6(4), 7-6(2) clash, becoming the first 2007-born player to win a Masters 1000 match. See video below.

Federico is currently coached by his father, Francesco Cinร , (former mentor to Roberta Vinci) and he stands at no 441 in the ATP rankings.
