Day 2 of the ATP Monte Carlo Masters are soon starting and we’re looking at some good betting odds and predictions for two of the matches coming up. Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Luca Nardi and Laslo Djere vs Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Luca Nardi
Canadian Auger-Aliassime is favorite here but it’s actually his first match on clay this season and he’s up against a player that we know can surprise even top names.
Also to mention, clay is not Auger-Aliassime’s best surface at the moment and he’s still looking for his best form from some years ago when he won a lot of titles.
Italian youngster Luca Nardi is not yet an established top player, however he recently won a Challenger on clay (Naples Challenger) and his confidence looks good! I think he likes his chances here against a player much higher in the rankings (even though he dived down to 35th now).
Best Bets and Our Predictions
We fell Nardi has a decent chance here and any long rallies can really be in favor of the Italian. With that high odds on Nardi, we’ll settle for a hcp bet.
Nardi, Luca +2.5 Game Handicap at odds 1.87 | -110 | 10/11
Laslo Djere vs Stefanos Tsitsipas
Maybe one of the most interesting matchups of the day, where 12th seed Tsitsipas takes on Serbian player Laslo Djere in the round of 64.
Stefanos Tsitsipas enters the match as big favorite at the tennis betting sites at odds 1.25 | -400 | 1/4 but it might not be that straight-forward today.
The Serb has been struggling a bit this year but we know his qualities on clay and his facing a player in Tsitsipas that might be a higher ranked player but he is really struggling to keep up a consistent, good form and is entering the Monte-Carlo ATP with some bad results. Right now he is not a player most would consider winning the Monte Carlo ATP at his current form.
Their H2H record shows a 3-0 lead for the Greek and they met in this tournament 2 years ago where he outed Djere 7-5, 7-6 (1) in a tough match.
Best Bets and Our Predictions
Djere should be able to push Tsitsipas in many parts of the game and he has real power from the baseline. We know he likes the clay surface and he also tends to do better in big matches.
Tsitsipas is overall the better player but he also feels more beatable than a few years ago.
We’ll go for a smaller good value bet that Djere manage to take one set this time around. It will be interesting to see what he can do vs the Greek.
1-2 Set Betting (Tsitsipas) – 3.60 | +260 | 13/5
