Etcheverry vs Arnaldi, Cincinnati Open, Predictions and Odds

Etcheverry

Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry is up against a tough opponent in Matteo Arnaldi in the opening round on Wednesday at the 2024 Cincinnati Open and we want to share our thoughts ahead of this clash.

Right now the odds are 2.00 | +100 on Etcheverry and 1.75 | -137.5 on Arnaldi. These lines are a bit too even in our opinion, read on for more about that…

Both these players were beaten by the Montreal finalist Andrey Rublev last week, the main difference otherwise was that Arnaldi played some great tennis and reached the semi-final.

The Italian loves playing on these hard-courts, so far 14 wins and 9 losses and he looks better and better for each tournament. His play was very solid in Montreal and he recorded 4 wins against really good opponents in McDonald, Khachanov, Davidovich Fokina and Kei Nishikori.

Etcheverry had a good clay season but on the hard-courts it hasn’t been as solid, as expected. The win against Jarry in Montreal was impressive though.

These two players have never met on the tour previously.

Betting Predictions for Etcheverry vs Arnaldi

Matteo Arnaldi is in great form and overall a better hard-court player than Etcheverry, that should be enough to progress from this round.

Might consider a 2-1 set betting wager on the Italian at around 4.50 | +350 at most bookmakers.
