Hubert Hurkacz vs Grigor Dimitrov, Miami Open Predictions

We have entered into the round of 16 matches at the Miami Masters 1000 tournament. One of the many thrilling matches is the battle between the 11-ranked Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, now 8th in the world rankings.

Grigor Dimitrov vs Hubert Hurkacz

Dimitrov comes from a decent Indian Wells tournament where he reached the round of 16, losing out to Daniil Medvedev in straight sets. So far in Miami he’s been in great form but not yet faced real top competition. The very quick 6-1, 6-0 win over Hanfmann was impressive though.

On the contrary, Hurkacz comes into this match following a long, tight contest with American Sebastian Korda (7-6, 6-7, 6-3).

Looking at the H2H between these two, Dimitrov has a crushing 4-0. However, that does not really reflect what’s been going on at the court. It’s been tightly contested overall, even on different surfaces (two clay and two indoor).

Predictions and Odds

It should be an interesting and tight match. Hurkacz is definitely not out of a decent chance here and usually performs well in Miami. We think the Bulgarian holds a slight edge though, showing superb form, and will grind it out for a win into the next round.

Our bets:

  • Dimitrov to win the match, odds 1.80 | -125 | 4/5
  • Total Games Over 25.5, odds 1.91 | -110 | 10/11
