It feels strange not seeing Sinner in the final as we expected that, however he was beaten by a much in-form Tsitsipas that impressed in the semi-final. Not sure how much the injury to Sinners leg affected the outcome in the end.
Many was also expecting Djokovic in today’s match, but Casper Ruud wanted different and got his first victory over the Serb with 6-4 1-6 6-4. The Norwegian is one of the top players on clay on the tour at the moment and he looked fantastic against Djokovic.

Tsitsipas won here in Monte-Carlo twice (2021, 2022) and loves the clay surface, still this final is a bit of a surprise looking at how this season has been otherwise. A semifinal place in Los Cabos is basically the best to show this year for the Greek. This week he has shown his old self where it feels he can beat anyone.
We should see an aggressive Tsitsipas today where he once again will try win points on his strong, first serve.
Casper Ruud lead 2-1 in their h2h records and the last win was the 6-4 7-6 semifinal win against Tsitsipas in the Los Cabos semifinal.
The 25-year-old Norwegian is one of the best in the world on clay courts and if he can hold his serve and find opportunities in the long rallies he has a good chance today.
