Crocodile? Yes, the iconic crocodile clothing brand Lacoste has now reached a deal with Novak Djokovic in time for the French Open.
I think this is a pretty good match actually. It was hard to get behind the Uniqlo wear that Djokovic sported and the Sergio Tacchini tattoo-inspired shirts felt a bit out of character. I think Lacoste fits the Djokovic brand well and will be easy for him to embody. Clean, simple, elegant.
I think Roger Federer would have been the ultimate fit with Lacoste, but his deal with Nike is HARD to beat. Djokovic is however a good pickup for Lacoste when Nadal and Federer is with Nike, Murray wears Under Armour and Wawrinka endorses Yonex (who can forget the famous Wawrinka winner shorts from 2015?)
I also want to mention Fabio Fognini who really stands out in his skull-infested Hydrogen apparel. I think they’re improving the collection there and he’s a solid choice for the Italian edgy brand.
