Head has released a new paint job for their Head Graphene XT Radical MP called “limited edition” or “ltd” for short. It has the same specs as the popular Head Graphene XT Radical, but the paint job is pretty cool and “80s Nike-neon/Agassi inspired”.
Since the Head Graphene XT Radical MP Ltd is quite light it does benefit from some customisation. I would have lead tape at 3 and 9 to increase stability and add some on the handle (you can also use silicone/blu tack inside the butt cap). There is also the Head Graphene XT Radical Pro if you like a higher weight without customization, but it doesn’t come in this awesome paint job.
Some players miss the flexible feel of the older Radical lines and the Head IG Radical Pro is deemed as a modern classic (but sadly impossible to find), but this is the way racquets are going as the sport is becoming faster and more powerful. If you find the Head Graphene XT Radical racquets stiff, try to string it low and with a softer polyester string or a multifilament string. Here are a few options: Volkl Cyclone Tour, Solinco Tour Bite Soft or Weisscannon Silverstring or multifilament strings like (usually gives less spin) Tecnifibre X-One Biphase, Wilson NXT or Prince Premier Touch or Gilles Simon’s choice Head Intellitour.
Head Graphene XT Radical Ltd specs:
- RACQUET SPECIFICATIONS: Weight (Unstrung) 295 g/10.4 oz; String Pattern 16×19; Head Size 630 cm²/98 in²; Balance 315 mm/1 in HL; Length standard, 685 mm/27 in; Beam 20/23/21 mm

Interesting that you suggest it might be stiff, as I read the stiffness is 63 RA. Is yours different? Thanks!
