Jeremy Chardy’s Racquet

by TN

Tall and powerful French player Jeremy Chardy has one of those games that can trouble anyone but also seems to trouble himself at times. He has beaten Djokovic and Federer but seems to lack the mental stability to push himself far enough to win tournaments. He has one title from 2009 (Stuttgart when it was on clay) and is currently ranked #68 in the world. What racquet does Chardy use to produce those windmill blaster forehands?

Chardy switched from a Head pro stock to Tecnifibre in the end of 2014 and is currently endorsing the Tecnifibre Tfight DC 305, but is playing an older model with 95-inch head size instead of the slightly bigger DC version which is a true 98. It is also supposed to have a softer layup (more flex) and I’m sure he adds quite a bit of lead to it, but I’m not sure how much.

Chardy strings his racquets with a full bed of Luxilon Alu Power 16 L.

Chardy uses Wilson shoes (Wilson Rush Pro 2.5) but has been seen testing the new Wilson Amplifeel shoe which is pretty cool looking.

PS. You read this blog regularly know I’m a big fan of Tecnifibre racquets and currently use the Tecnfibre Tfight 315 Ltd DS.
