Amanda Anisimova

Amanda Anisimova is an American tennis player with three WTA Tour titles and a career high rank of no 16, but what is Anisimova’s current racquet?

Amanda Anisimova’s tennis racquet

Amanda Anisimova’s tennis racquet is not what it looks like. She endorses the Wilson Blade 100 V9, but is using an older model called the Wilson Steam 100 BLX. The 100 Steam BLX has a thicker beam and higher stiffness than the Blades. This racquet cannot be purchased from retail shops anymore, so you would need to check out the used racquet market or find a pro stock version.

There are many WTA players using the Wilson Steam 100 BLX: Mirra Andreeva, Paola Badosa, Emma Raducanu, Diane Parry and the list goes on.

Anisimova strings her racquets with Luxilon Alu Power, as far as I know. If you have more information about Anisimova’s racquet specs and strings and tension, please let us know in the comments.

Bio and Career

Amanda Anisimova, born August 31, 2001, in Freehold Township, New Jersey, is an American tennis player of Russian descent who has emerged as a huge talent on the WTA Tour. She began playing tennis at the age of five as her sister was playing at the time.

Anisimova’s career took off as a junior, hitting No. 2 in the ITF rankings in 2016 and winning the 2017 US Open girls singles title over Coco Gauff. Turning pro, she made a name for herself already at 16 years of age, with a 2018 Indian Wells fourth-round run, beating Petra Kvitova for her first Top 10 win. Her maiden WTA title came in 2019 at Bogotá, defeating Astra Sharma. That year, she became the first player born in the 2000s to reach a Grand Slam semifinal at the French Open, winning over defending champion Simona Halep before falling to Ashleigh Barty.

A big milestone arrived in 2025 at the Qatar Open, where she claimed her first WTA 1000 title, beating Jelena Ostapenko 6-4, 6-3, her third career title and first since 2022’s Melbourne Summer Set. Earlier, at the 2024 Canadian Open, she reached her first WTA 1000 final, upsetting top ranked Aryna Sabalenka before losing to Jessica Pegula.

In total Anisimova has three WTA Tour titles: Doha 2019, Melbourne 2022 and Doha 2025.

The 23-year-old right-hander reached a career-high singles ranking of no 16 in March 2025, after a great Miami Open run, with a peak doubles ranking of no 359 in January 2020.
