Eliot Spizziri’s racquet is becoming a modern classic on the ATP Tour. It is the Babolat Pure Aero VS, but painted like the new Babolat Pure Aero 98. This racquet is used by Holger Rune, Carlos Alcaraz, Arthur Fils and a growing number of pro players. He used the Babolat Pure Strike 98 before the switch.

Bio and Career

Eliot Spizzirri was born December 23rd, 2001, in Greenwich, Connecticut, and he began playing tennis at at a local club already at the age 5.

Spizzirriโ€™s tennis journey began as a top junior, peaking at no 20 in the ITF rankings in 2019 and winning the US Open boys doubles title with Tyler Zink that year.

After enrolling at the University of Texas in 2020, he dominated collegiate tennis, finishing as the number one ITA singles player in 2023 and 2024, one of only four players to achieve this twice since 1981. His college highlights include the 2023 ITA All-American Championships singles title and four ITA All-American honors in doubles, alongside a 29-6 record in his final season.

Turning pro in 2024, he climbed from no 738 into the Top 150 in under a year, mostly from two ITF titles (Tulsa and Laval) and his first ATP Challenger title at the 2025 San Diego Open, where he also won doubles with Zink.

Some of his pro highlights in his young career include a maiden ATP Tour win at the 2024 Hall of Fame Open over Li Tu and a Grand Slam debut at the 2024 US Open after qualifying. In 2025, Spizzirri got his first Masters 1000 victory at the Miami Open, defeating Billy Harris in three sets.

Current coach is Patrick Hirscht, in fact they have been working together on the courts since Eliot was 8 years old.

Spizzirri reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of no 134 in March 2025, and a peak doubles ranking of no 181 at the same time.
