American tennis player Jessica Pegula has been a WTA star for years, but what is Jessica Pegula’s racquet?
Jessica Pegula’s racquet
Jessica Pegula endorses the Yonex Ezone 98, but we cannot be sure which generation she uses. The pros usually get older racquets customized to their specifications. They don’t change racquets every two or three years when a new model is released, but instead get their old model painted as the new one. This is a widespread marketing ploy from the racquet manufacturers.
Pegula used to play with the Babolat Aero Pro Drive until 2016-2017 where she switched to the Yonex Ezone 98. Most likely this is the racquet and layup she still uses today. Her player profile page does not have strings listed, but by the looks of it, she is using Luxilon Alu Power.
The brands are often unhappy about pros using one brand for their racquet and one for their strings. Yonex, in this case, would push for some kind of brand exclusivity deal including apparel, strings, racquet and shoes, like they have with Stan Wawrinka, Elena Rybakina and Hubert Hurkacz, to name a few. But in Pegula’s case, she is sponsored by Adidas for apparel and shoes, Yonex for racquets and racquet bags, and probably just buys Luxilon strings.
We are not aware of any customization or string tension for Jessica Pegula’s racquet, so if you know, please feel free to comment below.

I’ve noticed a handful of pros — Pegula, Kokkinakis — go from the Pure Aero to Ezone 98. Why not Ezone 100 since PA is 100 sq in?
This is a good question. They want control and maybe the 100 gives them too much pop.
