She just beat Iga Swiatek in the Paris Olympics 2024 semi-finals, but what is Qinwen Zheng’s racquet?
Swiatek is already a living legend in the sport, with five Grand Slam titles already at only 23. And she has won the French Open at Roland Garros four times.
Since the Olympic Games is held at Roland Garros and on clay, she was a strong favorite going into the tournament. But 21-year-old Zheng has the game to beat anyone and despite having lost to Swiatek six times before and never won, she got it done in straight sets and 1 hour, 51 minutes of hard-fought tennis. 6-2 7-5.
What is Qinwen Zheng’s racquet?
Many players want to use the racquets that their heroes endorse. Zheng endorses the Wilson Pro Staff 97 V14 (click for our review), but judging from pictures, she could be using a popular pro stock racquet on the tour, the Wilson Pro Tour 95. It is a 27.25-inch-long racquet with a 16/20 string pattern that used to be called nTour and hTour in some older generations.
If you have seen many different racquet molds, you can tell that the cross-section design of her racquet is a Tour 95. Also, counting the strings, she plays a 16/20 pattern, which also makes sense.
This racquet is not for sale anymore, the last generation of it was the Wilson Ultra Tour 95. Wilson still has the regular 6.1 Pro Staff 95 as a part of their Pro Labs offering, but that one is standard length, 18/20 and much heavier.
We don’t know the exact specifications of Zheng’s racquet, but the last generation we tried (which had Countervail tech) had the following specifications:
Head size: 95 sq inch
Weight: 309 g
Length: 27.25 inches
Balance point: 32.5 cm
Tech and materials: Carbon fiber, BLX, Countervail, Crush Zone
Beam width: 22.0mm
String Pattern: 16Ă—20
Stiffness (RA): 69
Zheng strings her racquets with Luxilon 4G in the mains and natural gut strings in the crosses.
Will she win gold at the Paris Olympics? Let us know in the comments!

Hey Jonas are you certain about her string set up? Somebody said it’s big banger original 1.30.
At the US Open (2024), she clearly is using a Pro Staff V14.
