Nadal and Federer turn Rivalry into Friendship in new Louis VuittonĀ Ad

The GOAT’s are back together! It’s been two years since Federer ended his career at the 2022 Laver Cup and with that, also the legendary Federer-Nadal rivalry. Now we can see them all teamed up again, but in a slightly different setting, in the new Louis VuittonĀ ā€œCore Valuesā€Ā campaign.

High on top of the summit of the Dolomites Mountain Range (Italy) in the snowy weather, we can watch a great Q&A with the two legends, as well as a joint photo shoot, all shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz.

The ad, ā€œThere are Journeys that turn into Legendsā€, are showing Nadal and Federer wearing the brands Monogram Eclipse and Monogram Christopher backpacks and is truly about showing these two players as good friends.

ā€œHow we could be such rivals and then at the end of our careers be beside each other doing this campaign has been very cool.ā€ was one of the comments by Roger Federer via a press release.

Nadal commented via PR: ā€œHe has been my biggest rival and now a close friend today,ā€.

The 3,000 meter summit worked well as a metaphor for both of their their careers. Federer with his 20 Grand Slam titles and the “King of Clay” Nadal with his 14 (!) Roland Garros titles and a total of 22 Grand Slams.

They now join the current world no 3 Carlos Alcaraz, as Louis Vuitton campaign headliners.
