This is good news for fans of Rafael Nadal. Nadal returns to Brisbane 2024, which means he is back already for the Australian swing.
Millions of tennis fans have missed him so this surely is a bit of surprising and positive news. Nadal is feeling himself again and seems to have recovered enough from his injury to give it his all on the court. Will this be the last season for him? He has alluded to it in previous interviews, but time will tell as the season rolls on. He might change his mind if things work out for him and the injury stays away.

Can a fit Nadal be a force?
Time has taught us that you can never count out Rafael Nadal. No matter what ailment or issue he might have or is recovering from, he brings it on the tennis court and you can back him in most competitive scenarios. However, a year away from the tour might be too much for him to get back to top ten level of play. Tennis is evolving and the young generation with Alcaraz and Sinner leading the pack has shown in 2023 that they are ready.
Djokovic has become an even better player in 2023 and will be a tough draw for Nadal.
We do know that the King of Clay is happiest at the Roland Garros and I think, if he is a 100% fit, he can fight for yet another title there.
