It finally happened. After talking about it for quite a while, the Tennis Mentor is on the Tennisnerd Podcast. And he did bring some great insights.
In this episode, I’m joined by Ashley Neaves, also known as “The Tennis Mentor.” Ashley is an award-winning coach who works with everyone from kids to recreational to high-level competition players. He creates content on social media and recently released a course with Liam Broady’s coach, David Sammel, called Bulletproof at the Baseline.
When you work with your passion…
I met Ashley in May last year when we spent a few days in Paris together during the French Open. He seems like a great dude as well as a great coach. I do wonder how he can combine his content creator career with being 30 hours on court every week, but when you love what you do, you can stretch the boundaries of time.
There were some golden nuggets in our conversation. One of the things that stood out to me was that when I watch my play (I record many sessions for reviews, as you know) that I should try to watch the ball as a way to find out which type of patterns I stick to and on which shots I land the ball short, etc.
This is just one example of many good tips he put forward in this chat. I hope you enjoy it! As always, you can listen on most podcast audio platforms and there will be a video episode out on the Tennisnerd YouTube channel tonight. You can check out all our podcast episodes on our Podcast page.
