This week’s tournaments in Rotterdam, Buenos Aires and Delray Beach are heating up. Here is our Alex Michelsen vs Tommy Paul prediction.
Alex Michelsen is the up-and-coming American player, while Tommy Paul is established nowadays within the top 20 of the world. Michelsen is currently at #75 in the world and at 19 years of age, there is obvious whispers of potential. He turned pro last year and does not likely regret that decision. He is quite consistent from the baseline but can also attack the net behind his big serve.
Will that be enough to threaten Tommy Paul? Looking at Pauls recent form, which lead him to a title in Dallas, it will not be easy. Paul is the strong favorite among the bookmakers at 1.36 times your bet, while you get a generous 3.25 on Michelsen. This is a possible upset in my opinion with good value.
Michelsen and Paul have never played before, so you cannot base anything on head-to-head stats. But our prediction will be that Tommy Paul gets it done in three sets.

Karolina Pliskova vs Naomi Osaka Prediction
In the WTA 1000 tournament in Qatar, we have some exciting matches on the schedule today. Swiatek vs Azarenka is a good one, although that does have Swiatek written all over it and the bookmakers agree with 7 times your money on an Azarenka bet.
However, the Pliskova vs Osaka match is more interesting. A Pliskova win gives you a bit more, 2.12 last I checked, while Osaka is the favorite at 1.75 your money.
Pliskova won the Transylvania Open in Cluj-Napova, flew to Qatar and had to play her match pretty much straight away after another scheduling mishap in professional tennis (these happen too often to even comment on them). Despite the lack of preparation and rest, Pliskova has won her matches and looks to be back in great form.
That is why I will predict a Pliskova win in three sets.
