Bublik vs Coric Prediction, Montpellier

by Jonas Eriksson

We have reached the final of the ATP tournament in Montpellier and here is our Bublik vs Coric Prediction.

In our last episode of this week in tennis, we predicted that Bublik would win this tournament. It might have looked like a gutsy prediction, but he has won it once before and plays well indoors with a big serve and aggressive game. He has one more match to go, this time against Borna Coric, who beat Holger Rune in one and a half sets. Rune retired with a forearm injury and has previously been in the news for quitting his partnership with Severin Luthi after only two months.

Bublik had a tougher semi-final, coming back to defeat the “indoor king” Auger-Aliassime 4-6 6-4 6-4 with both players playing some inspired attacking tennis.

Bublik vs Coric Head-to-Head

They have only played once before, at Halle last year, where Bublik won in straight sets. If you look at the odds, it is very even. For some reason, the majority of the best tennis betting sites put Coric as the ever-so-slight favorite. He is a fighter and has not dropped a set so far.

But we are going to predict Bublik in three sets. Bublik has won here before, has the better serve, and is one of those players that, when he is ON, plays top-ten tennis. Coric can also play high level, but we believe the serve will be the dominating factor here.

2-1 Set Betting for Bublik pays over 4 times the money. Good odds found at Stake and BetUS (USA).

If Bublik wins, this will be his fourth ATP tour title, the same stat goes for Coric. Who gets it done today? Give me your predictions in the comments below.

Ps. Bublik has now gone the Medvedev route with a similar racquet and now also possibly the same string setup with natural gut in the mains and Razor Soft in the crosses (not sure if it is that or something else). Ds.
