Hubert Hurkacz vs Ugo Humbert, Preview with Odds and Predictions

by Stefan Jonsson

Hubert Hurkacz and Ugo Humbert will battle it out in the quarter-final of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships later today. Let’s have a look at some stats of the players and of course our predictions and some good odds.

These are two players in great form and we should have a top quality match as both of them enjoy the fast hard-court conditions, as in Dubai.

Hubert Hurkacz just comes from wins over Jan-Lennard Struff and Christopher O’Connell and he’s been on fire in the tie-breaks. His serve is looking as good as ever, 35 aces so far.

The 25-year-old Ugo Humbert has had a great year, not at least winning the trophy in Marseille where he defeated Grigor Dimitrov in the final (6-4, 6-3). He beat Andy Murray in straight sets to reach this quarter final in Dubai.

This quarter-final will be the fifth meeting between them and it’s a 3-1 edge for Hurkacz, but only 1-0 on hard court, like in the Dubai Championships.

The last match though, Humbert won a good match 6-4, 6-4, the semifinal at ATP Marseille earlier this year.
