The BNP Paribas Open is back and the first round gives us some decent matchups. We found two matches with should be thrilling to watch and where we found good odds.
Arthur Fils vs Nuno Borges
Arthur Fils is the favourite among the tennis bookmakers here and he beat Nuno Borges (6-2, 6-0) at the ATP Auckland back in January. However, since then he hasn’t looked himself with some poor matches and slight injury problem with the right thigh.
Nuno Borges has a win against Fils but it was on a lower tour three years ago and on clay.
This is an interesting match in the first round between two young players that should enjoy the hard courts at Indian Wells Garden. Both of them are unseeded and the winner here will take on 23rd seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the 2nd round.
We’ll go with this bet as we can see it go to 3 sets or at least a tie-break.
Stan Wawrinka vs Tomas Machac
One of the top games of the first round with two quality players. We’re big fans of Machac and he’s really been showing his qualities lately on the tour.
The veteran Wawrinka has not had an easy year and his best years are most likely behind him. He’s 9-10 in matches in ten hard-court tournaments over the last twelve months.
Machac is 1-0 up in their H2H and we’ll bet that will be 2-0 by tomorrow, even though the conditions might suit Wawrinka quite good. We’ll go for these odds below. A check at the live betting odds on the Czech following the first few games might be another option.
Tomas Machac -1.5 Set Handicap at 2.25 | 5/4 | +125. – Bet over at .
