Gabriel Diallo’s racquet is a Wilson Blade 98 V9 18/20, one of the most common racquets on the ATP Tour. He might be using an older model, but he is endorsing the current edition. In pictures, there is some lead tape on his racquet at 12 o’clock to increase the swing weight of the racquet. He strings it with Luxilon Alu Power, but we unaware of his tension or exact specifications of his racquet.

Bio and Career

Gabriel Diallo was born on September 24th, 2001, in Montreal, Canada where he started competing in tennis tournament from age 10. Of Guinean and Ukrainian descent, Diallo turned pro in 2023 after a successful college career at the University of Kentucky, where he earned ITA All-American honors.

Diallo has won three ATP Challenger titles: Granby in 2022, Bratislava in 2023 and Chicago in 2024, alread showing great results both on hard-courts and indoor events. His breakthrough on the main ATP tour came in 2024, reaching his first ATP final at the Almaty Open (an ATP 250 tournament), defeating Francisco Cerundolo 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals before falling to Karen Khachanov.

In Grand Slams, we remember him mostly from the 2024 US Open, where he reached the third round after upsetting 24th seed Arthur Fils, so far his best Major result.

Another standout moment was his 2023 Davis Cup win over World No. 18 Lorenzo Musetti, helping Canada advance.

Currently (as of March 2025), he holds a singles ranking of no 88, with a career-high of no 86 (achieved in January 2025). His career record stands at 19-28, with over $1M in prize money.
