It’s time to start getting prepared for betting on French Open and we’ll try our best to find some nice value bets ahead of the tournament. Early odds are already out among most of the online bookmakers so let’s see which are the best odds at the moment.
The Roland Garros, or French Open, is one of the four Grand Slam events in tennis and for many fans, this is the biggest of them all. At least when looking at prestige and history, not much can beat the event at Stade Roland Garros.
There will be a lot of predictions from all places leading up to the tournament which takes place between May 20th and June 9th, 2024. Look for odds to change rapidly just before and during the event and don’t forget the live betting options to further get an advantage.
Outright Bets for the 2024 French Open
Men’s Winner
Odds favorite right now is Carlos Alcaraz, at under 3 times the money we feel this is not really one of the best odds. Alcaraz has not have the best preparation for the Roland Garros this year and his arm seem to bother him in many matches. Now he’s out of the Rome event as well, which is usually an important preparation for the French Open as it has similar conditions.
Top performing player this year, Jannik Sinner, is in a similar situation now with his hip injury and unfortunately he’ll be missing the next Masters 1000 tournament in his home country, like Alcaraz. Currently at odds 4.20 (+320) which is not bad, but quite a gamble to place your money on the Italian. As it seems right now, it’s not even 100% that he will take part, depending on his fitness.
Non è facile scrivere questo messaggio ma dopo aver parlato di nuovo con i medici e gli specialisti dei miei problemi all'anca devo annunciare che putroppo non potrò giocare a Roma.

So, who else can claim the Roland Garros title in 2024?
Well, Novak Djokovic can definitely. Some six months ago we could hardly see anyone beat him, now he had a quiet year so far, but I think he’s really up there among the few who can find the form before end of the month. Obviously we’ll have to see how he’s performing in Rome, which should be interesting. Considered one of the best players on clay, even though it’s not his favorite surface… Currently at odds 3.40 (+240) there will probably be many bettors putting their money on Novak at the 2024 Roland Garros.
Two other in-form players with a very decent chance in France is Casper Ruud (10.00 | +900) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (12.00 | +1100). Ruud has played some great tennis in the clay season, as expected, and maybe he has also overcome his habit of loosing finals, with the win in Barcelona Open a few weeks ago.
Tsitsipas went on a fantastic streak and won the Monte Carlo Masters earlier this year and can beat anyone when he’s up for it. He’s a good outsider bet for the French Open title.
Other names to keep a look out for is world no 4 Medvedev at 19.00 (+1800), recent Madrid winner Rublev at 26.00 (+2500) or a long-shot at great talent Alex de Minaur at 51.00.
Women’s Winner
Iga Swiatek, world no 1 in the rankings, is dominating at the moment and just got off the win at the ATP Madrid. Clearly the favorite in the French Open betting, at 1.90 (-110), the Polish star is looking to defend her title from last year. She looks almost unbeatable on clay at times, but there will be many players challenging her.
For anyone looking to get a bit more return of their money, we have to start with Aryna Sabalenka, at the decent odds of 6.50 (+550) we’ll see a lot of early action on the Russian.
We also like the odds of 9.00 (+800) on Coco Gauff, a player who keeps improving. Keep a lookout for clay expert Elina Svitolina as well at 31.00 (+3000) if you’re looking for a long shot with very high odds!
Roland Garros, not like any other tournament
Keep in mind that this is the most prestigious clay-court event in tennis and the surface at the French Open is slow and gives generally high-bouncing play. Strong base-line players usually do well here but most of all you need patience and strong overall play over many matches to succeed.
