Outright winner odds for Wimbledon women’s singles

Before we look at which players are the best bets this year, here’s a look at the overall outright winner odds heading into Wimbledon:

  • Aryna Sabalenka @ 4.00 | +300
  • Iga Swiatek @ 5.00 | +400
  • Elena Rybakina @ 6.00 | +500
  • Coco Gauff @ 7.50 | +650
  • Naomi Osaka @ 15.00 | +1400
  • Ons Jabeur @ 15.00 | +1400
  • Madison Keys @ 19.00 | +1800
  • Emma Raducanu @ 21.00 | +2000
  • Jessica Pegula @ 21.00 | +2000
  • Mirra Andreeva @ 23.00 | +2200

Looking at the outright winner odds for the Wimbledon women’s singles event in 2024, one thing is clear: this is going to be a tight race.

Four women lead the draw as favorites, with Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff ahead of the rest of the pack. Of these, Sabalenka has her nose in front, but barely – she holds a slight lead over Swiatek, with Rybakina hot on their heels as well. Gauff is ever so slightly off the pace, but is right in the mix to win as well.

Behind these four, the odds double for the next batch of contenders. These are Naomi Osaka, former No 1, and Ons Jabeur, former Wimbledon finalist, both who return 15.00 (+1400).

Following these two, there are another four serious contenders for the title. Madison Keys leads at 19.00 (+1800), followed by Emma Raducanu and Jessica Pegula level on 21.00 (+2000), with teenager Mirra Andreeva right behind on 23.00 (+2200) as well.

Valuable odds for Wimbledon women’s singles

Based on the outright winner odds above, who’s the best bet at this year’s Wimbledon? We see strong arguments for three different players this year.

Elena Rybakina

Backing Rybakina to win her second Wimbledon is the best bet we see this fortnight.

The Kazakh is third favorite in the outright betting odds, giving her a slightly juicer return than the likes of Sabalenka and Swiatek. However, she has one huge advantage over her two closest rivals: she’s won Wimbledon before.

Rybakina has an impressive 16-3 win-loss record at SW19, having made the round of 16 and quarter-finals in her other two editions of the Grand Slam. Overall on grass, it’s her best surface, courtesy of the 25-year-old’s flat hitting and big serve. She holds a win rate of 72.7 percent on grass.

Though it’s not been the best grass season so far for Rybakina (she lost in the Berlin quarter-finals), we expect she’ll bring her best in London and is a great bet to win the event.

Ons Jabeur

Should Rybakina fail to go all the way at Wimbledon, then Jabeur is another player offering brilliant outright betting odds in the women’s singles event.

The Tunisian also has a brilliant record on grass, with a win rate of 70.4 percent on the surface. The last three years, she’s been incredible at Wimbledon. In 2021, she made the quarter-finals, defeating Swiatek en route. The next two years, she went all the way to the final, picking up impressive wins over the likes of Rybakina and Sabalenka back-to-back last year.

Ons Jabeur

Jabeur’s form has been rocky at times over the last six months, but a return to grass has helped her gain some momentum. The past month, she’s made consecutive quarter-finals in Nottingham and Berlin, which has her entering her familiar stomping ground of Wimbledon with confidence high.

Jelena Ostapenko

For those looking to make a high odds wager on the women’s singles event this year, look no further than Ostapenko.

The thing with Ostapenko, is she’s either on, or she’s off. Take the start of this year, for example. The Latvian won two WTA 500 titles before most players had had a chance to accrue two match wins, bagging trophies in Adelaide and Linz across the first month of the season. She then went on a cooler, losing five of her next nine matches, including one defeat to the world No 607.

When Ostapenko is striking the ball well, it doesn’t matter who’s on the other side of the net. If you’re going to take a punt on one player catching fire and tearing their way through the Wimbledon draw, then Ostapenko is a great bet–particularly with odds of 34.00 (+3300).

Grass is the world No 14’s favorite surface statistically, with 46 win and 21 losses (68.7 percent win rate) on the lawn. She’s a former Wimbledon semi-finalist–admittedly, back in 2018–and is aided by the quicker bounce when playing her ultra aggressive style of tennis.

We’re not saying she’s guaranteed to win. But if you’re after a big return, Ostapenko is the one to bet on.

Who do you think will go deep this year?
