Following another rainy day yesterday in Paris, it seems today we’ll see a lot of clouds, possibly light rain, and there might be some suspended games in the afternoon again. The third round covers some great matches and big names, as expected, both on men’s and women’s side. A place in the Roland Garros last 16 is up for grabs, let’s look at some of the highlights and a quick schedule for 31st May.
There are eight matches scheduled for Friday and the remaining round of 32 matches to be played Saturday.
Hubert Hurkacz is continuing his fine form and will have an interesting clash today with another player that is finding his way back to the top, Denis Shapovalov. The Canadian showed great consistency beating Tiafoe yesterday (as we predicted) at a rainy court and is looking to go deep in the tournament. He’s the underdog today at 2.85 but don’t count him out completely.
World no 2 Jannik Sinner looks to be injury free and is big favorite against Kotov while Carlos Alcaraz have a decent challenge in Sebastian Korda in the night session game in Paris today.
In the women’s draw we see Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek in action again, both big favorites. Let’s see the form of Iga following a hard fought win over Naomi Osaka in the last round.

Zizou Bergs vs Grigor Dimitrov Predictions
One of the spicy matches of the day, an experienced Dimitrov takes on an aggressive and powerful playing Zizou Bergs that has impressed so far and reached the 3rd round of the Roland Garros for the first time in his career.
The 24-year-old Belgian has been talked about a lot lately, will he get his breakthrough at the French Open?
Dimitrov, being the more experienced and overall better player, is the clear odds favorite at 1.22 (-450) and it’s hard to see him exit in todays match to be honest. The Bulgarian is not always overly comfortable on clay and has never reached past the third round at the French Open. However, he’s been looking solid so far, beating Fabian Marozsan in straight sets on Thursday.
Prediction: I see Dimitrov progressing eventually, but Bergs can definitely take at least one set against Dimitrov on slow clay.
- Zizou Bergs to win at least one set, at 1.58 | -175
- 1-3 Set Betting (Dimitrov), at 3.40 | +240
