Onwards for some more betting on the Miami Open when we are entering day 4 of this Masters 1000 event. Yesterday we saw many matches being interupted and postponed due to rain, including the Murray v Etcheverry game (still live betting options for this battle).
Later today we are focusing on the below matches.
Gael Monfils vs Jordan Thompson
Gael Monfils (image above) is having a good season and the 37-year-old is far from finished. His 47 rank on the tour is not the top of his career exactly, however his game has shown another level in the last few months. So far, a semi-final in Doha and an exit in the round of 16 just recently in the Indian Wells Masters.
Jordan Thompson has been in fine form himself overall and the Australian should not be forgotten here when looking at the bets. He did not have a good Indian Wells event but looking at some of his recent results on hard-courts against top players like Zverev and Ruud, we might see a different Thompson here.
Odds and Predictions
- Monfils 1.50 | 1/2 | -200
- Thompson 2.60 | 8/5 | +160
Monfils has been the better player of late and he has a slight edge, these are our bets:
- Monfils in 3 sets at odds 3.70 | 11/4 | +275
- Over 0.5, Total Number of Tiebreaks at odds 2.17 | 23/20 | +115
Dominik Köpfer vs Sebastián Báez
This will be the first meeting between these two players and while both of them has been looking in decent form recently, we can see only one winner here.
Sebastian Baez played great tennis in the Golden Swings but we think his rankings might go up later in the year when we see more events on various surfaces. The fact is that is is not good on hard-court at all.
Dominik Koepfer has had a good season and already with a challenger title. The main point is that he grew up playing hard courts in US and can basically only play this surface, that should be enough to win this match.
Odds and Predictions
We’ll go with a straight bet on Köpfer to win, at the decent odds of -162.5 | 1.62 | 8/13.
