Everyone watching the Australian Open is of course waiting for the Novak Djokovic vs Taylor Fritz quarterfinal tomorrow. It should be an interesting game, even though it’s not really an even match-up, at least not when we’re looking at the odds among most betting sites.
Djokovic, the defending champion and a favorite for his 11th title, has shown his typical resilience. After initial challenges, including dropping sets early on, he’s back where we know he can be. Taylor Fritz has impressed us… Overcoming a tough first round, he’s since displayed impressive form, notably toppling Stefanos Tsitsipas. This was something we did not predict. Fritz’s powerful game, marked by a really strong serve and forehand, could possibly pose a serious challenge to Djokovic.
We also know Novak’s ability to deal with players with big shots…

Djokovic’s record against Fritz is sligthly intimidating, standing at 8-0 in favor of the Serb. Their last match was of course in the 2023 US Open, where Djokovic beat Fritz 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.
