Nishikori’s Coach Michael Chang Switches to Srixon Racquets

by Jonas Eriksson

Nishikori’s coach, tennis legend Michael Chang has just announced that he’s switching to a Srixon tennis racquet. Srixon is already sponsoring Kevin Anderson, Jiri Vesely and Aga Radwanska.

Perhaps more famous as Kei Nishikori’s tennis coach to a younger audience, 80s tennis icon Michael Chang has now become an ambassador for Japanese tennis brand Srixon and is endorsing and using the Srixon Revo CV 3.0 Tour racquet. He was previously knownĀ for using the Prince Original Graphite (reincarnated as the Prince ClassicĀ Graphite 100) – a true classic among tennis racquet aficionados.

Chang joins a growing group of Srixon players, the most famous for the European tennis audience being Kevin Anderson, Jiri Vesely and Aga Radwanska. Kevin Anderson is using a SRIXON REVO CX 2.0 TOUR 18Ɨ20, Jiri Vesely a SRIXON REVO CX 2.0 and Radwanska theĀ SRIXON REVO CV 3.0 Aga.

The Srixon racquets are not easy to get a hold of outside Japan, but you can try the Rakuten Global Network. I haven’t been able to find them anywhere else, but maybe that’s just a question of time?

Do any of you readers have any experience with Srixon racquets? What do you think about them?

Hello #tennisnerds,
actually you donĀ“t need to search Japanese online shops to purchase SRIXON rackets. We are the first European tennis shop officially authorised as SRIXON dealer. We are located in Portugal but ship to all European countries. We are very proud to be part of the Srixon team and excited that now MICHAEL CHANG switched “to better”.
YELLOWBALLS, Stefan

Why is Anderson playing at the Open with the Srixon Raquet BUT using a Dunlop stencil on the strings?

Hi Brad,
Because Srixon (SRI Sports) owns Dunlop after buying it from Sports Direct. Dunlop is for now the brand they market in Europe mainly, but I think that can change soon.

Cheers / Jonas
