Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is a hard hitting entertainer with bundles of talent. He’s beaten pretty much the other top players, has two Masters titles to his name and is currently ranked 12 in the world. He plays a high-octane, aggressive tennis driven by his serve and his massive forehand and doesn’t hesitate to get to the net.
What is in the stars for Tsonga in 2017? Like always with the Frenchman, it’s quite difficult to predict how he will play. He’s always dangerous, but 2016 was lukewarm season for him with no title to his name. It will be interesting to see however if he can step it up and produce some great results.
Tsonga was, similar to Dominic Thiem earlier an ambassador for the Babolat Pure Strike (first edition, not the one currently endorsed by Thiem and Kokkinakis), but moved over to the 2010 version of the Babolat Aero Pro Drive Plus. He currently plays it in the paint job of the current Babolat Pure Aero Plus (the line changed name to sync better with the Babolat Pure Drive).
Tsonga uses tons of lead on his racquets and strings them one of the most popular strings on tour – Luxilon Alu Power. He wear Adidas Barricades Boost shoes and Adidas Barricade shorts and shirt.
