The main draw for the 2024 Indian Wells Masters has been made public finally and we have some great tennis to look forward to in the coming weeks. Let’s have a look at at some of the top players in Indian Wells Masters 2024.
World no 1 Novak Djokovic hasn’t played in the PNB Paribas Open since 2019 and he didn’t reach the quarterfinals since 2016 (when he won). We expect Novak to reach the fourth round at a minimum this time and there he will meet in-form Ugo Humbert or 17th seed Tommy Paul.
A possible challenger in the quarterfinals for the Serb, might be Casper Ruud, that is just coming off a final loss at the ATP Acapulco event.
Rafael Nadal has some work to do and starts against Milos Raonic and can face Holger Rune in the next round.
American Taylor Fritz and last years runner-up Daniil Medvedev looks the strongest in this quarter though and is a possible option for the quarter-final.
Sinner unstoppable?
Jannik Sinner will obviously be one of the favourites for the trophy these weeks and we definitely see him reaching the quarter-finals here. Ben Shelton will most likely be the toughest opponent on the way there.
In the same quarter we also see a top name in Andrey Rublev that hopefully has shaken off his disqualification from ATP Dubai last week. One of his hurdles on the way is of course Andy Murray, the 36-year old, 3 time major winner that might be playing his last Indian Wells tournament.
Alcaraz defending champion
Defending Indian Wells champion Carlos Alcaraz will start in the 2nd round against either Matteo Arnaldi or Luca van Assche. The young Spaniard seem to be back fully from the injury and recently beat Nadal in the Vegas exhibition match.
A possible battle in the quarterfinal might be in-form Aussie Alex de Minaur that is just coming off an impressive win in Acapulco.
We’re still waiting for the tennis sportsbooks to release more odds markets before we give some predictions and early odds selections.
