Dimitrov is back in the top ten, while Sinner seems unbeatable. Here is our Dimitrov vs Sinner Miami prediction.
When Dimitrov beat Alcaraz in straight sets and Alcaraz said that the Bulgarian made him feel like a 13-year-old on the court, we knew something was brewing in the Dimi tennis kitchen. He followed it up with a more hard-fought win over Zverev in three sets and now he takes on the hottest player in men’s tennis right now, Jannik Sinner.
Sinner, on the other hand, completely demolished Medvedev in their semi-final. We definitely did NOT see this result coming as you can see in our Medvedev vs Sinner preview. But Sinner is so good at the moment and have only lost one match in the entire year. He seems unstoppable and you could see Medvedev’s frustration that nothing he threw at the young Italian worked.
But Dimitrov should take plenty of confidence in his win against Alcaraz, playing almost flawless tennis. Both players come in with their best tennis and hopefully the final will be as spectacular as it can be!
Sinner is the big favorite among Miami Open betting sites at 1.25 for a win, while a Dimitrov upset nets you 4.25 times your bet.
Can Dimitrov win?
For Dimitrov to win, he will have to bring the same level he did against Alcaraz. Variety, aggression, fantastic movement, and some luck. The way Sinner is striking the ball right now, there does not seem to be a way through him from the baseline, so Dimitrov needs to attack, drop shot and mix it up in an effort to disturb the Italian’s impeccable rhythm.
He can do it, and we do think Dimitrov deserves a Masters title this year for his impressive efforts, but it’s a tall task to beat Sinner right now. We think Dimitrov can steal a set, but in the end, Sinner will be too good and capture yet another title and cement his current status at as the best player in the world.
Dimitrov vs Sinner Miami Prediction: Sinner 2-1.
