After a successful betting round yesterday with the Monfils win among others, we continue our Miami Open 2024 betting and we look at two other interesting matchups today.
Andy Murray vs Tomas Machac
As we predicted, Andy Murray managed to get the better of Etcheverry and that was actually the first time he managed to win consecutive matches this year.
The Brit lost to todays opponent back in the Open13 event, however his form has improved a lot since then. Fact is that Murray won the title in Miami twice but that was some years ago now and it would be surprising if he can challenge again.
Machac with his first top-10 win
Tomas Machac is just impressing everyone more and more this season. Eliminating Andrey Rublev (6-4, 6-4) in the last round was the Czech’s first ever win against a top 10 player but I have feeling it was not the last.
Machac has started his climb in the rankings, he is now with 12 out of 18 wins this season and continues to play the major tournaments against the best players in the world.
A win against Murray would take him to the fourth round of the Miami Masters for the first time.

Murray has been on the up lately but here he is facing a very tough opponent and we’ll go for a straight win bet for Machac at odds -162.5 | 1.62 | 8/13
Martin Damm vs Christopher O’Connell
Martin Damm, a really interesting player, will take on Christopher O’Connell in the round of 32 and we think he can possibly cause some upsets here.
The 20-year-old American talent got through to this round as Tommy Paul retired with twisted ankle. His lefty serve will likely cause O’Connell some problems and we can see him reaching the top 100 in the rankings within a not so distant future.
66-ranked Christopher O’Connell is of course the more experienced player and also the odds favorite among the bookmakers at odds 1.36 | 4/11 | -275.

We think Damm will manage to get at least one set in this match and a bet for 3 Sets pays 2.38 | 11/8 | +137.5.
