Netflix Break Point

Did you watch the F1 series “Drive to Survive”? It did a lot for the popularity of the sport. Now it’s time for Netflix Break Point.

Netflix Break Point

Netflix’s Break Point is the tennis version of Drive to Survive. It’s the same team behind it, so we can expect top production value and interesting storylines. Is the world of professional tennis players as exciting as Formula 1? It can be with the right treatment. I was slightly skeptical when I heard about the idea, but now I am looking forward to it.

The Netflix Break Point series will premiere on January 13. The ATP Tour describes it like this:

The show follows some of the best players in the world on both the ATP Tour and the Hologic WTA Tour throughout the 2022 season to give fans an insightful look into their lives on and off the court.

As some of the tennis legends reach the twilight of their careers, this is the chance for a new generation to claim the spotlight. Break Point gets up close and personal with these players over a year of competing across the globe.

From career-threatening injuries and emotional heartbreak to triumphant victories and personal moments off the court, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the pressure-tested lives of some of the best tennis players in the world.

Which players will be featured?

Felix Auger-Aliassime, Paula Badosa, Matteo Berrettini, Taylor Fritz, Ons Jabeur, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Nick Kyrgios, Casper Ruud, Aryna Sabalenka, Maria Sakkari, Sloane Stephens, Iga Swiatek, Frances Tiafoe, Ajla Tomljanovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Which player do you look forward to following in the Netflix series Break Point?

“It’s great for the game, moving the game forward,” Frances Tiafoe said. “I’m happy I was part of it and some other guys got a chance to be part of it as well.”

WTA star Ons Jabeur added: “I just want to make fans see what we are living every day to remember we are just human beings after all. I want them to see what we go through every day with the practices, with the preparation, with all the stress. You can feel and just know that we’re human beings and just support us no matter what.”

Drive to Survive is an abomination, it brought a lot of fans to F1 but they were boors. I hope Break Point doesn’t do the same but don’t be surprised if a lot of new fans are there to cheer on Krygios and his behavior
