I thought the line was dead, but here they are the Wilson Burn V4 Racquets. They look a bit like the Clash cosmetically…
The reveal of the Wilson Burn V4 racquets came as a surprise to me. With the Ultra 100 taking the “tweener” frame category along with the Clash, I wasn’t sure how the Burn racquets would fit. But the idea is that the Burn line maintains the Spin effect tech that Wilson released some years ago, with the exception of the Burn 100 that has the standard 16×19 string pattern.
Let’s look at the different Wilson Burn V4 Racquets.
Wilson Burn 100 V4
The only Burn frame in the lineup with a traditional 16×19 string pattern for optimal power, the Burn 100 brings the heat for players who prefer to spend most of their time on the baseline. Crafted with High-Performance Carbon Fiber within a thicker dual taper beam construction for more explosive power, this frame unleashes plenty of pace upon contact with the string bed.
- Lightweight, head-light frame blends power, control, and maneuverability
- Parallel Drilling provides consistent, more forgiving string bed response
- High-Performance Carbon Fiber offers increased frame stiffness for explosive power
- New orange bumper guard adds lightweight protection for racket hoop
