Tennis Vacations

by Jonas Eriksson

I get many emails and comments asking about recommended tennis vacations. This can mean just travelling to a beautiful tennis club or for the more ambitious players, to an academy.

There are loads of tennis vacations on offer around the world and I will feature some interesting options on Tennisnerd. I personally love travelling in the name of tennis, wheather it’s going to an ATP Tournament, visiting some beautiful clubs and courts or spending time at a tennis academy.

Here I am keen to hear from you. Do you have any experience from tennis vacations or tournaments you have visited? Are there any places or clubs you can recommend visiting for true tennis nerds? Please put your experiences or wishlist of locations in the comments below.

Racquet sport lovers unite

Padel is one of the fastest growing sports in Europe and Pickleball is seeing a massive increase in number of courts and players in the US. Racquet sports have been seeing tremendous growth during the pandemic, one of the few good things to take out of the whole mess.

Many nice clubs offer a different courts and sports to play on during your stay. Some even offer up to three different tennis surfaces like the Mallorca Country Club.

I hope to go back to travelling more in 2022 if things stay controlled pandemic-wise. Maybe you have the same idea? Are there any specific clubs or tournaments you would like to visit?

My plan for now is to watch grass tennis in Mallorca in June and maybe also visit the Mercedes Cup again. I have also been to the Rome Masters several times, which is a fantastic experience.

I also loved the Laver Cup and the amazing atmosphere of that tournament. Maybe it’s time to go back in 2022?
