- 2023: Daniil Medvedev
Winner Betting, Players to Watch
Recent Australian Open winner Jannik Sinner is the star of the show here and of course also the favourite among the tennis bookmakers at odds 2.25, which is a bit too low for our liking at this tournament.
The draw for the first ATP 500 event of the year took place on Friday evening in Rotterdam. Sinner will meet Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp in the first round in Rotterdam, the Italian’s first match since he won the Australian Open.
Rublev our Bet
We like the odds of second favourite Andrey Rublev at 8.00 (7/1 | +700). This is good value for an in-form player, (now 5th in the ATP rankings) that won here before (as well as 5 other indoor tournaments should be mentioned…). Rublev’s most recent win at Hong Kong Open was impressive and it’s time he steps up also against the big guns.
Holger Rune is an extremely talented player is surely one to watch out for in Rotterdam, despite his coaching drama recently, and we’ll not be surprised if he goes far.
Dimitrov is another in-form player, already with trophies this year, can he reach all the way in Rotterdam as well? It’s not our first choice but at 11.00 (10/1 | +1000) you’ll have fair odds.
Other players to consider is young talent Dino Prizmic (longshot at odds 81.00) and Alex de Minaur at 13.00 (12/1 | +1200)
