The new HEAD Extreme Racquets for 2022 are revealed. The update comes with a fresh paint and Auxetic added to the layup.

There are not any big spec changes to the new HEAD Extreme racquets, but the Pro is not there anymore. Instead they have tigthened the string pattern on the HEAD Extreme MP, which I think makes a lot of sense as that one was a bit difficult to control. Auxetic is there to improve the feel and I also felt like it enlarges the sweet spot slightly. Similar to what it did with the HEAD Speed Racquets. It’s a small difference, but picky racquet nerds will definitely feel it while playing.

I am reviewing pretty much the whole range of the new HEAD Extreme racquets, from the very light Team L, to the Team, the MP L, the MP and the Tour. I had a lot of fun last week hitting with the Team L. Big power and spin and easy playability. My mother actually loved playing with that racquet and decided to keep it. She is a beginner so for her the easy power, spin and large sweet spot was appealing. But I actually had fun just hitting spinny groundstrokes with it too. It’s going to be a bit light for me in the long run, but that’s where the other racquets come in.

The HEAD Extreme Tour was my racquet of choice a while back, so I’m keen to see how this one compares. This is the most controlled racquet of the line-up and specs up in the following way. Ps. The CPI is the power scale from 100 (lowest) to 1000 (highest in power). Ds.
