Tallon Griekspoor’s Racquet – Player Profile

Tallon Griekspoor

Tallon Griekspoor is a Dutch player, with a career high rank of no 21, but what is Griekspoor racquet and gear?

Tallon Griekspoor’s Tennis Racquet

Tallon Griekspoor’s racquet is some version of the Tecnifibre Tfight. On the Tennis Warehouse forums, they talk about it being the XTC edition, but it isn’t easy to be sure. The specifications, according to a forum user who owns his racquet, are 337g, 31.9cm, and 330sw strung, which sounds reasonable.

Griekspoor is endorsing the Tecnifibre Tfight ISO 305, which Daniil Medvedev also endorses.

Biography and Career

Tallon Griekspoor was born in Haarlem, Netherlands on 2nd July, 1996. He started playing tennis at the age of 5, inspired by his older brothers.

Tallon began playing at the Zandvoort Tennis Club at the age of 12 and he turned pro in 2015. At the age of 17, he moved to Belgium to train with Kristof Vliegen, a former top-30 player.

His ATP main draw debut came at the 2017 Rotterdam Open. The following two years he managed to cause some upsets in the same event, by beating Stan Wawrinka and Karen Khachanov.

Griekspoor’s Grand Slam debut came at the 2020 Australian Open (lost in straight sets to Taylor Fritz). He had some decent results on tour though, and eight Challenger titles, which took him into the top 150 for the first time, in August the same year.

In 2022, Griekspoor had climbed into the top 50 of the ATP rankings and his first two ATP titles came the season after, in 2023. The maiden ATP Tour singles title came at the ATP Pune where he defeated Benjamin Bonzi in the final. The second title came later in the year at the 2023 Libema Open where he, following wins over Popyrin and Alex de Minaur among others, defeated Jordan Thompson in the final.

The Dutch star also reached the 3rd round of a Masters 1000 for the first time at the Paris Masters, where he eventually lost to Novak Djokovic. This took him to his career-high ranking of No. 21, achieved on 6th November 2023.
