2023 Racquet Changes

by Jonas Eriksson

Let’s move into the new year with some 2023 racquet changes. This is the time when see pro players reveal their new sponsors.

2023 Racquet Changes

Let’s bring on 2023 with many gear updates, tennis playing, and tournaments! I’m currently testing a bunch of racquets. New Radicals, VCOREs, and more to come! You can get first impressions by joining my Patreon. The full reviews will, as always, be posted on YouTube in due time.

I am keen to know what new racquets you are most interested in. Please comment below which one(s) and why, please.

Pro player racquet updates

In my Happy New Year 2023 video, I mention pro player sponsorship changes.

Soonwoo Kwon is hitting a Yonex at the moment.
Dominic Thiem is back to Babolat RPM Power.
Gael Monfils is playing in ON Roger Shoes. (I can’t seem to find any On Roger shoes to purchase for a review, I already have sneakers from ON, but cannot find the tennis ones even with a search on Amazon).
Jenson Brooksby seems to be in between racquets. Last I saw, he was holding what looked like a Dunlop CX 200.

I am sure there are plenty of sponsorship switches I have missed and there will be some more spotted when the tour kicks into full gear. Right now you can stream both the Adelaide ATP 250 and the inaugural United Cup on Tennis TV.

If you spot any interesting, reach out!

I wish you all a great 2023!

The Vcore 100 (2023) would be very interesting to learn more about. Also the Vcore 100L would be interesting to see how it compares to the 300 gram version. The Vcore 100 seems to be a very interesting frame as the stiffness rating is quite decent for being a “tweener”.

Hi Jonas,
have a happy new year and thanks for all the nice Tennisnerd stuff you are creating.

Most interesting for me, as I love rackets being stiff and a little smaller:

Wilson Pro Staff 97 V14
Babolat Pure Aero 98
HEAD Radical Pro Auxetic

Thanks for all the 2023 stuff coming and kind regards!

Julian

Vcore 98 would also be interesting. :-)

But Pro Staff V14 and Pure Aero 98 vs. Aero VS would be most exciting.

Radical MP, since there were so many conflicting reviews from different sources on it last time (regarding sweetspot size, spin potential, power etc).

Jonas, could you recommend me a racket that had the same characteristics as the Blade 18×20, but offered more spin?

Blade 98 16×19? New VCORE 98 is good otherwise
